Join Calliope Women's Chorus!

Fall 2008 Auditions!

If you love to sing and are interested in joining the chorus, audition to sing with us! Auditions are held twice yearly in late summer and after New Year, prior to each concert season. Notification of auditions for the chorus is posted in local GLBT publications/e-newsletters/websites, via email to our mailing list, posted on this website and in each season's concert program. You may also contact us directly at any time to schedule an audition.

Auditions are 15 minutes in length and are fairly casual. Please come with a piece to sing, with or without sheet music. An accompanist will be provided if you’d like one. You’ll be asked to sing your piece, do a short series of vocal exercises and a music reading exercise and will then have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about Calliope. Again, very casual - we want to get to know you! We look forward to meeting you!

Join our Board:
Calliope is a 30 year old feminist organization comitted to promoting social change through the arts. We are looking for women willing to support our mission through participation on our Board of Directors. Board members can be singers or non-singing members. Meetings are held monthly to help guide the organization. Calliope is in a time of growth and transition - a truly exciting time for members to impact change and help support the sustainability of this unique organziation.
